Adding a Secondary User to Your SiteWorx Account
This article provides instructions on adding a new secondary user to your SiteWorx account. When adding a user, you will define the login information, language preference, and also specify the permissions that you want to enable on the account.
Prerequisites
- You must be the primary user on an existing SiteWorx account.
Notes
- Secondary users will not be able to change the permissions for their account (or any other account).
Step 1: Specify Login Info and Preferences
- Log in to SiteWorx.
- On the main menu, click Administration > User Accounts.

- Specify the user's login information and preferences, as follows:

- Nickname: Enter the name that you want to use to identify the user.
- E-mail: Enter the user's (existing) e-mail address. (The e-mail address that you specify will be required in order for the user to log in to SiteWorx.)
- Password: Assign a password, or click the Generate button to have the system generate one for you.
- Confirm Password: If you did not generate a password, you must re-enter the one that you specified in the Password field.
- Language: Select the user's preferred language.
- Menu Style: Select the desired menu style. The "big" menu style uses large icons and a centralized menu, rather than carrying the menu from page to page on the lefthand side; the "small" menu style (the default) uses smaller icons, and the navigation menu is in view on every page throughout the system.
NOTE: Once the user account is created, the user can modify any of the above settings if desired.
Step 2: Specify Permissions
Specify the permissions that you want to apply to the user's account:
- If you keep a check box selected (✔), that permission will be applied, meaning that the user will be able to access and perform tasks in that specific area; for example, if the MySQL Databases permission is selected, the user will be able to create or modify MySQL databases on your domain.
- If you de-select a check box, that permission will NOT be applied, meaning that the user will not be able to access that specific area.
⇒ When finished setting up the user account, click the Save button.
