How to add or delete team members in the Client Portal

Overview
This article explains how Nexcess clients can add or delete team members to their account through the Client Portal.

What you need

  • Your Client Portal username and password. These were originally provided in the Nexcess Welcome Email, though you may have since changed them. If you cannot locate this information, click the Forget Password? link on the Client Portal login page or contact the Nexcess Support Team.

  • The email address of the user to be added.

Adding team members

  1. Log into the Client Portal.
  2. From the <Your Name> list on the upper right, select Team.


  3. On the Manage Teams page, click Add A Member.
  1. In the Add A Member panel, enter the Email  Address. In the Add to Team(s) drop-down list, select the team or teams for this new member. Click Add when done. The new user will receive an email with a link granting access. For more information about teams, their associated permissions, and how to create them, see How to configure teams in the Client Portal.

    Attention: Use care when assigning the Superuser role, which grants unrestricted access to your account. 

     

Editing or deleting team members

  1. From the <Your Name> list on the upper right, select Team.


  2. Locate the team member, then click the orange edit icon or the red delete icon, as appropriate.

    Attention: The system prevents any change that removes the last Superuser on the account.

  3. Make any necessary changes, then either click Save or Delete, as appropriate.
