You need your current WordPress password. If you have forgotten it, navigate to your login page, then click Lost your password?.


This method shows how to change your password through the WordPress dashboard. For other ways of resetting your password, see the WordPress website.  

  1. Navigate to your administrative login page. Log in using your existing credentials, then navigate to your dashboard.

  2. From the dashboard, select Users > Your Profile.

  3. Scroll to the Account Management section. Click Generate Password. You may either use the provided password, or create one yourself. Save your password in a secure location, then click Update Profile.
